So, I've been loving my new camera and taking a ton of pictures, I am focused on my subject and I obviously don't pay attention to the background…here's the proof.

Cute picture of the hooligans…

Notice:
The wheel of Sam's "car"
The pole of the basketball hoop
the well pipe
the tarp covering the pile of rocks that Rick will put "somewhere"
woodpile
and my personal fave the pots with the dead greens from the front porch Christmas decorations.

Lovely…blaaahhhh

It gets better, people…check out this snap shot
At first glance this looks like a picture of Jenna's teammate serving…look at the gentleman behind her.  Now when I look at this photo all of the following questions come to mind and I don't even notice Jenna's teammate serving the ball, for example:

What is this man looking at?  Did someone fall off the bleachers across from him?  Is he concerned about Jenna's teammates serve?  Of course not he doesn't even know her.  Is he upset because we are winning and he is rooting for the other team?  Is he in the witness protection program and just saw the mobster out to kill him standing across the Belle Plaine elementary school gym?  Is he constipated?  AAGGGGHHHHH!

See, that is why it is important to pay attention to the background of your photo…consider this my public service for the day.
Thank you.

Easter-Tween Version

How old is too old for Easter traditions? Still HAVE to dye eggs, at least we got rid of the Paas and tried something new…  Easter Egg (fun).  Oooooh, first time I've ever put a link in a post…aren't you proud of me?

It's funny how the Easter baskets don't really look right…for the record there is a chocolate bunny in there somewhere.  I'll admit buying basket fillers at Aeropostle and the sporting goods store is odd but, they asked and I don't know maybe it's me not really wanting to let it go just yet…for the record, I plan to do this until they are 50.

Here's the other reason…they are just too darn cute in those sunglasses…see the evidence below.

The bone of contention was the egg hunt.  Rick watched me from the living room window just shaking his head as I hid 40 eggs (at least I remembered to count them this year).  Full disclosure, there was 41 but one took an unfortunate tumble down the egress window.

This may appear that I didn't really "hide" them very well but, it took them much longer than usual.  It was dark, my flashlight was dying and there were strange noises in the woods…these eggs were hidden in record time.

I'm not really sure why she was running, not exactly a race.  Maybe it's because they did the egg thing between church services and she had to get back for the choir performance.  Her life is so complicated.

It all turned out well, they TIED…what a twin thing, to find the exact same number of eggs.  Full disclosure, he initially won by one until Jenna found the "missing" egg a couple of hours later.  Note:  I will do another post on how bad this picture really is.

Next year, new version of the egg hunt.

Hello there….

I had the following conversation with my son today…

Me:  Sam, what's your favorite color?

Sam:  Green

Me:  What color do you want to paint your room?

Sam:  Brown

Me:  Hmmm….any other color?

Sam:  Blue

Me:  I thought you said green was your favorite color?

Sam:  Yeah, but you asked me what color I wanted my room?

Me:  Should we add some green accents?

Sam:  Okay, that would be nice.

Then, my head spun around like a top and flew off and I was done.

This should be fun!

Bye for now.
