How old is too old for Easter traditions? Still HAVE to dye eggs, at least we got rid of the Paas and tried something new… Easter Egg (fun). Oooooh, first time I've ever put a link in a post…aren't you proud of me?
It's funny how the Easter baskets don't really look right…for the record there is a chocolate bunny in there somewhere. I'll admit buying basket fillers at Aeropostle and the sporting goods store is odd but, they asked and I don't know maybe it's me not really wanting to let it go just yet…for the record, I plan to do this until they are 50.
Here's the other reason…they are just too darn cute in those sunglasses…see the evidence below.
The bone of contention was the egg hunt. Rick watched me from the living room window just shaking his head as I hid 40 eggs (at least I remembered to count them this year). Full disclosure, there was 41 but one took an unfortunate tumble down the egress window.
This may appear that I didn't really "hide" them very well but, it took them much longer than usual. It was dark, my flashlight was dying and there were strange noises in the woods…these eggs were hidden in record time.
I'm not really sure why she was running, not exactly a race. Maybe it's because they did the egg thing between church services and she had to get back for the choir performance. Her life is so complicated.
It all turned out well, they TIED…what a twin thing, to find the exact same number of eggs. Full disclosure, he initially won by one until Jenna found the "missing" egg a couple of hours later. Note: I will do another post on how bad this picture really is.
Next year, new version of the egg hunt.
