Apparently today is World Thinking Day and Jenna's girl scout troup is planning some event after school. I have no idea what the event is, how long it's supposed to last or what they'll be doing, I do know where it is but that's about it. Given my lack of knowledge on the subject you may be surprised to know that I will be making cookies to bring to the event...say what? Jenna has no clue either...apparently she was supposed to get a "sheet" on World Thinking Day at her scout meeting Tuesday night...nope, no sheet. I've been e-mailing the last couple of days (no response from the leader...shocking, I know) and I'm not the only confused Mom....it's nice to have company in my world. So, we were assigned the country of Australia and were to bring cookies from that country and here is the recipe I was sent "Viennese Chocolate Fingers"...you guessed it, more confusion. The mom looking up recipes was told the country was Austria...hmmmmm. So, being the creative mom she is she just changed the name to "wonders from down unders"....I love scrapbooking moms...she cracks me up! I assumed that since it was our first year we just weren't up to speed on how things work in girl scout world. It seems this lack of communication is a new thing...oh, goody! Jenna LOVES girl scouts so, I hope things get better 'cause I'm not doing a happy dance!
